DePIN Surf Cohort 1
Inferix
Inferix is a decentralized GPU computing platform for visual computing and AI. Inferix has a major market share in Vietnam and is expanding globally to India and other developing markets. Their primary target market is average designers using all major rendering engines, including Blender Cycles, Vray, D5, Omniverse, and OctaneRender.
Network 3
Network3 is building a dedicated AI Layer2. It provides services to AI developers worldwide, helping them train and validate models in scale quickly, conveniently, and efficiently through AI model optimization and compression, federated learning, edge computing, and confidential computing.
Wayru
Wayru tackles the digital divide and the lack of affordable, reliable internet in underserved areas, especially in Latin America. Based on Open-WRT, Wayru is compatible with thousands of WiFi devices that are available to purchase. Wayru has successfully launched its mobile applications in iOS and Android (10K downloads and counting) and released the WayruOS, which is now compatible with half a dozen devices.
Starpower
Starpower is an energy Internet infrastructure layer offering a comprehensive smart power outlet. This outlet tracks energy usage to improve the load-balancing of virtual power plants. Outlet owners earn $STAR tokens through its use, thereby motivating active participation in these global decentralized renewable energy initiatives.
PowerPod
PowerPod aims to provide a reliable and accessible charging network for electric vehicles in various countries. This locally distributed model is designed to operate globally and function as a social enterprise using Powerpod’s proprietary, internet-connected and Tesla-compatible charging device.
DePHY
DePHY is pioneering a decentralized off-chain data messaging network designed to empower DePIN projects to deploy faster and cheaper. It addresses the underutilized potential of digital and hardware assets and the crucial role of data relay in bridging the physical and blockchain realms. DePHY facilitates the secure, verifiable, and swift transfer of data from hardware directly to the blockchain, utilizing cutting-edge technologies like the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Oracles to guarantee data verifiability and low-latency. DePHY closed seed round in January and is currently in Stanford Blockchain Accelerator.
ATOR
ATOR creates a safer, private layer for the internet. Through its DePIN routing network, signature hardware and software SDK, ATOR provides a seamless, truly decentralized privacy solution for the applications we all use. Anyone can contribute to the ATOR Network and be rewarded by providing their excess bandwidth to it.
NATIX
NATIX Network is building an open geospatial Intelligence network using their proprietary AI and smartphone cameras. NATIX’s flagship product “Drive&” uses driver assistant apps (e.g. dashcam and navigation), token incentives, computer vision AI, and smartphone cameras to map the real world in real-time.

FAQ
Who should apply?
In short, any DePIN founder is welcome to apply! However, our program is most helpful to startups looking to raise funds in the next twelve months and who are at least open to using at least one part of IoTeX’s modular tech stack. This is not a requirement but we offer integration support for our suite of DePIN tools that range from a community points sand box, W3bstream (data middleware), and token launches on our L1. It would be a shame to miss out on all of that!
When does the program start?
Our first cohort officially launches at ETHDenver on February 28th! However, we will begin informal programing two-weeks prior and will stop considering applications for this cohort on January 29th.
How much does the program cost?
Nothing! We only require a $50k investment in your company at founder-friendly terms. Besides that, we ask founders to commit to a few hours a week and to attending all demo days. Despite our fairly low time requirements, we advise that you make room in your schedule to engage with the program as much as possible and support your other founders. We can guarantee that whatever you put into the program will come back to you many times over!
Is the program remote?
The program is mostly remote with the exception of in-person workshops at ETHDenver on February 27th and an in-person launch demo on the 28th. We also host in-person events at other major crypto conference where our founders have the opportunity to attend as VIP guests and connect with elite mentors and peers, but these are completely optional..
What are the next steps after I submit my application?
After you apply to the program, our team will start reviewing your application. This can take hours to weeks depending on the number of applications we have to review and how far you apply from the deadline. If we decide to proceed with your application, one of our team members will reach out and schedule an interview. Please have all your founders present for the interview. Final decisions are communicated over email.
How many projects will be accepted?
We are targeting ten projects in our initial cohort. However, if there is a preponderance of qualified applicants we will expand the number to twelve.
